Helicopter Adventures, the nation's first and only attraction offering helicopter tours from a shopping, dining and entertainment complex is now offering flights from Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Free shuttles have pick up points on the north and south sides of the 350-acre complex, while the helicopter launch site is located on the western side at 1860 21st Ave. N., behind the NASCAR Speedpark.
Helicopter Adventures offers a variety of tour packages, starting at $20 per person for a two-mile adventure that provides a birds-eye view of Broadway at the Beach. Additional tours departing from the Broadway at the Beach location are also available with each tour's cost dependent upon the length and distance of that tour. Ranging from two miles to 52 miles, flights go as far north as the North Carolina border.
"We're very excited about bringing Helicopter Adventures to Broadway at the Beach,” said Freddie Rick, president and chief executive officer of Helicopter Adventures. “This is an extraordinary complex that is extremely popular and its parent company, Burroughs & Chapin, is well-known for its leadership in the amusement and attractions business. We're delighted that the company shared our vision to make Broadway at the Beach the first such complex in the nation to add helicopter rides to its mix of attractions. Our attraction adds a new dimension to Broadway and its reputation for being innovative, unique and just plain fun.”
While other helicopter companies offer independent tours at landmarks like the Grand Canyon and Golden Gate Bridge, Helicopter Adventures is the first to make rides accessible as an integrated amusement attraction at a complex like Broadway at the Beach.
“The ingenuity that sparked the idea to link helicopter tours directly with a shopping, dining and entertainment complex should be applauded,” said Tracy Edge, who represents District 104 in the South Carolina House of Representatives.
