Mexican operator Apoyo Logístico Aéreo will expand its fleet of EC135s for operations to off-shore oil and gas platforms in the Gulf of Mexico, ordering a third helicopter for its all-Eurocopter inventory of light twin-engine rotorcraft.

AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that Caverton Helicopters has signed a contract for an additional three AW139 helicopters to support new clients in the West African sub-region. Caverton currently operates six AW139’s performing offshore transport missions in support of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria and is the largest operator of the type in the region.

RLC, the largest privately held helicopter operator in the Gulf of Mexico, has earned the Helicopter Association International (HAI) 2011 Operator Safety Award. The 2011 award marks the second year in a row RLC has been recognized by HAI for operator safety. The new award honors a total of over 115,000 accident-free flight hours over the two-year period.
